Professional Background and Experience: As a 30-plus-year marketing and advertising professional exclusively with KTBS, I’ve developed new and serviced existing advertising clients with beneficial campaigns for automotive, education, medical, home services, other retail, and business-to-business needs. I’ve utilized broadcast television, targeted digital, and live promotional events to drive traffic, sales, and awareness for local clients, with campaigns targeting audiences as far away as all of Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
Sales Philosophy and Approach: Once the needs and goals or challenges of the said perspective client are accessed, I customize campaigns around those needs, goals, and challenges. I work with internal departmental resources to craft ad messages as well as to use strategies to trigger solutions and positive responses. My goal is to build mutually satisfactory two-way communication with the client. Every step of the way, I’m striving to gain positive responses for the client and the goals they articulate. When a satisfied customer gets positive results, they continue the relationship, so I value long-term business relationships and enhanced trust over time to continue achieving positive results. I’m definitely open to the ever-evolving media industry and how it can best benefit the needs of the client.
Skills and Expertise: Using a high level of professionalism, I establish a dialogue between me and the client to understand needs, prioritize client goals, and work within agreed-upon campaign parameters. Using PowerPoint and/or Microsoft Word, Excel, video, Wide Orbit Traffic, Wide Orbit Media Sales, Proposal Smart Tool, comScore, Neilsen, Monday.com, and other software tools comfortably to implement all aspects of the day-to-day. I build easily understood written proposals and present them verbally while being alert to the comfort level of clients but accommodating their questions, concerns, or ideas as needed or those who work with them.
Personal Interests and Motivations: Outside of work, I’m driven primarily by family and faith. I remain close to family to meet physical, social, and mental needs while keeping within some form of daily, weekly, and continuous worship. I’m guided by priorities of family and faith. I like relaxing quietly at home, dining out, and traveling with family and friends. Ideally, competing in or spectating at equestrian-type events is a passion that I love. All of these interests and motivations feed positively into valuing life and its experiences, as clients are people who are positively or negatively affected by interests and motivations outside of business. Whether clients and I have similar or dissimilar personal interests and motivations, that knowledge of either allows us to connect on a higher level. This understanding helps to ease and enhance the professional relationship. We can celebrate wins and understand or assist during periods of loss.
